Maple Syrup Ex-Scotch – Sweet & Smokey

Maple syrup rests in these 200l ex-Scotch American Oak barrels to impart a smokey sweet taste.  The barrels hold syrup sourced from farms throughout northern Maine, Vermont and Canada.  The aging process for syrup is usually more based on flavor progression instead of time, but it’s generally under twelve months.  Barrels ship with an additional 500 mL of high-proof neutral spirit and are purged with inert gas to prevent spoilage.  Interested in other sweet barrels?
